Our Strategy

The acquisition of Liberty Global’s assets in Germany and Central Eastern Europe completed Vodafone’s strategic transformation into a converged communications leader, owning Europe’s largest 4G/5G mobile networks, Europe’s broadest gigabit-capable NGN network and Africa’s leading data networks.

The next phase of our transformation requires a renewed focus on operational excellence and a more consistent commercial performance across the Group. As a result, we have identified three key priorities for the business, which we are executing on at pace:

  1. Deepening customer engagement with our existing customers primarily by selling  ‘one more product’, to grow revenue and reduce churn;
  2. Accelerate our digital transformation improving both the customer experience and the efficiency of our operations through a radically simpler, digital ‘First’ approach. As a result we are targeting >€1.2bn of net operating reduction in Europe over three years;
  3. Improve the utilisation of our leading network assets through a renewed emphasis on capital smart infrastructure partnerships and capturing the material synergies from the in-market consolidation deals we have announced

These priorities underpin our ambition to drive organic revenue growth, expand EBIT margins and increase our cash generation enabling us to create value for society and improved total returns for our shareholders.
